Job vacancies: The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) is recruiting 2 editors for “Science in School” journal


The European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) is one of the highest ranked scientific research organisations in the world. The Headquarters Laboratory is located in Heidelberg (Germany), with additional sites in Grenoble (France), Hamburg (Germany), Hinxton (UK) and Monterotondo (Italy).
Can you turn a long, rambling text into a tightly written article with a clear story line? Can you juggle the editorial and production process? And can you turn your hand to different subjects, quickly becoming enough of an expert to help teachers and students across Europe?
Science in School, the European journal for science teachers, is looking for two editors (one full time, one 50%) to do this and more. Reporting to the Editor-in-Chief, you will plan, coordinate, review and edit content, and help decide

Science in School has been inspiring European teachers for the last ten years. Published both online and in print, the journal is run by a small editorial team, based in the strategy and communications department at EMBL in Heidelberg, Germany. Together, the team is responsible for producing the quarterly journal in collaboration with the international partner institutions of EIROforum, which fund the publication.
