The Naples City of Science, destroyed by arson, needs help

252950013382360The Naples City of Science – a huge innovation pole and science centre that attracted some 350.000 visitors every year in the formerly industrial area of Bagnoli – was destroyed by arson, supposedly by organised crime, on March 4th.

«Messages are arriving from all over the world: the main scientific institutions, research centres, scientists and friends of the Città della Scienza insist that the Città della Scienza must rise again as soon as possible» reads the official website, which was again online today with a few contents, since the server was also destroyed by the huge fire. «That’s why we ask everyone to spread our appeal to donate for the rebirth of the first Italian science centre, to give it back to its visitors, to the city and to the whole world».

The bank account of the Fondazione IDIS – Città della Scienza is:

IBAN: IT96T0100503408000000030000
SWIFT/BIC (per le rimesse dall’estero): BNLIITRR
