About
This course aims to highlight the new professions and new European and international cooperation networks that are useful for Italian journalists.

Data is presented regarding the importance of an ethical approach by journalists for information that contrasts the increase in fake news; data and projects related to the value of reading are explained, how the methods of consulting databases and digital and non-digital libraries have also changed; Italian, European and international projects are presented in which journalists can find new job opportunities in this phase of rapid and convulsive evolution of the publishing market (transition from paper to digital and synergies of multichannel and AI solutions such as new types of podcasts and mixed innovative and cutting-edge technological solutions etc.).

Scientific studies are illustrated on how the way of writing and reading has changed, the value of reading, and data on how territorial information is changing; information is given on what European funds are available to the media and for the protection of copyright and sources and how they can be used. It is a course with training credits from the order of journalists.

The speakers will be coordinated by Cinzia Boschiero, journalist and advisor to the GUS board and the UGIS board and recently appointed Vice President of the European Union of Science Journalists’ Associations – EUSJA
