About
Funded by the European Union and co-organised by the European Commission, this initiative aims to give young scientists the opportunity to compete with their peers at the European level and challenge themselves to win monetary prizes. Through this event, the EU encourages new generations of young researchers to pursue careers in sciences and technology.
This 36th edition of the European Contest for Young Scientists (EUCYS)will bring together participants from nearly 40 countries. These talented young individuals will present their scientific projects to the public as part of an international science fair organised by the European Commission and the State Education Development Agency of the Republic of Latvia.
This year, the European Commission can cover transport and accommodation costs for up to 5 nights (arrival: Monday 15/09 – Departure Saturday 20/09) to a maximum of 8 journalists.
